I have been working with these projects for over six years.īesides Java, I have worked with other code such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, and C++. Finally on 2017, I have created a puzzle game, in which you’ll need to stack blocks of the same color to remove them. Also, I created a math game, which you must solve math problems to proceed. On 2016, I have created this blog, which is based on my programming projects. Instead, I focused on bug fixes, improvements, and new features to my older projects.

On 2014, I have made a simple music-rhythm based game. On 2013, I have created more programs: “The Maze 2”, which is a sequel to my first Greenfoot game, and “RPG Game”, which is a simple role-playing game in which features a turn-based battle system. I have used it as my final project in my programming class at the high school. Another program I made in 2012 is “final project”, in where the player must pop 300 balloons before the computer does. My first game, “The Maze”, was created for my Senior Project back in 2012 at the high school. On January 2012, I started working on Greenfoot projects. The first programming language that I have ever learned is Java. On the fall of 2011, I started taking programming classes at the high school and started working with BlueJ. For this blog post, I will be sharing my experiences I had while working with BlueJ and Greenfoot, as well as with other programming languages. If you have not read these posts yet, please check it out here. On my previous two posts, I have shown you my app and game examples.

If you have any questions about these updates, feel free to leave any of your comments. Also, please check out my Examples page if you have not yet read it. Most of my BlueJ applications are updated for exception handling, so my programs will not crash if the user enters a wrong input value.

If you have not yet read my Java Language Overview and More About Java blog posts, please check those out, so you can have an idea of the Java programming language. The continue statement goes back to the beginning of the loop, as long as the loop condition is still true. The break statement ends the loop immediately. These statements are often used in the while, do-while, and for loops. With the exception handled, the program will not crash. The statements in the try block are executed first, but if these statements fail, then the statements in the catch block gets executed instead, as long as it corresponds to the exception. An example of a try-catch blockįor example, say that the program prompts the user to enter a number, but what if the user types a non-numeric input instead? Then you as a programmer will need to handle the exception in some way, or else your program will crash! This is why the try-catch blocks are used to handle the exception. This is accomplished by the try-catch blocks. That means that the error message can be displayed on the output instead of letting the program crash. If you have any questions about these upcoming updates, feel free to leave any of your comments.Īs I was working on my BlueJ applications, I just realized that the run-time errors can be handled.

  • Fixed a bug with the sleep condition counter.
  • Addressed an issue where the game may crash while the Black Magic effect wears off.

You can now upgrade badges six times instead of five! (first five upgrades requires coins 15 diamonds required for final upgrade). The cost of some items and badge upgrades has been tweaked. The shields now have their own HP it protects the player from damage until the shield’s HP reaches zero, in which it will break.Tweaks to the normal and Rocky Shield items. You can upgrade this stat by obtaining LUCK Badges. This affects the probability of scoring critical hits.It is no longer shown next to the player’s current HP. The remaining tries counter will now be shown if the player is defeated and has at least one retry.Updated the HUD for the player’s/boss’s HP (shows ‘HP’ instead of a percent symbol). They can still obtain extra lives, which allows the player to retry the stage without having to lower the difficulty. The player no longer starts the game with three lives they will have to use a continue whenever the player’s HP hits zero.
